The opera "ILLIAD" by Homer at the 8th HIGH SCHOOL of KORYDALLOS

 

AMPHITHEATER OF THE 8th HIGH SCHOOL OF KORYDALLOS

Friday, December 22, 2023. An educational presentation of Homer's Opera "ILLIAD" with music and libretto by music composer Panagiotis Karousos was successfully presented at the 8th Gymnasium of Korydallos for secondary schools with an introductory seminar: "Prosody as a connecting link between opera and ancient Greek secretariat". Lecturer: Panagiotis Karousos, composer (prosody analysis).

Participated: Choir "Rhapsodes" and Lyrical Soloists. Irini Konsta (Beautiful Helen), Hlín Leifsdóttir (Andromache), Yannis Darreios (Odysseus - Patroklos), Niki Zacharopoulou (Choros). Piano: Christiana Manou.

Students of the Theater Group of the 8th Gymnasium of Korydallos participated interactively with an act of Rhapsody A of Homer's Iliad.
