Huge success of the opera "Prometheus Bound" at Sivitanidios Public School of Trades and Vocations

Thursday, December 14, 2017. The Musical Program of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs of Greece, “Prometheus Bound” by Aeschylus opera and Seminar, was presented with a great success at the renown Sivitanidios Public School of Trades and Vocations, in Athens, Greece.
The Opera: Promitheus Bound of Aeschylus in Music by Panagiotis Karousos and Direction by Vasilis Asimakopoulos, with the Seminar: "Prosody as a link to the opera with the ancient Greek tragedy" received with an enormous interest by students and professors. Students learn how music becomes created thought ancient Greek language, and ancient Greek lyric poetry.

The presentation of the opera moved and was applauded by students and teachers.
Bass Vasilis Asimakopoulos' as Prometheus was incomparable vocally and scenically. Impressive soprano Irene Konsta did a magical Io, touching with her high interpretation. Tenor Theodoros Birakos as Ocean was strict by giving all the elements of the Titan who sympathized with Prometheus, while as Hermes he stirred up the students with the melodious aria that conveyed the audience. Soprano Mariza Kioseoglou gave a brutal violence as required by the role and a goddess Athena with vocal alternations. The fantastic protagonists were accompanied by the pianist Pandelis Legakis.

The pioneering Seminar: "Prosody as a link of the opera with the ancient Greek tragedy" was done under the perfect coordination of Dr. Chrisoula Tsigri, School Counselor of the French Language that spoke on "The History of the Opera".
Greeting was given by Georgia Dimopoulou, Director of the Sivitanidios Public School of Trades and Vocations.
Speeches on the Seminar’s theme gave by Maria Papadopoulou - Poulou, School Advisor of Pedagogical Responsibility for Sivitanidios Public School of Trades and Vocations, Dr. Georgia Markea, Music School Advisor, Athena Salonidou, Honorary School Advisor for Physical Radiochemical Engineer of the 1st EPAL Sivitanidios Public School of Trades and Vocations, and Deputy Directors, Boziki Athena, and the philologist Tsirogiannis Konstantinia, who preached the opera "Prometheus Bound" by Aeschylus.
The composer Panagiotis Karousos made the presentation and analysis of the Prosody.
Aikaterini Panagioula Diakogeorgiou made reference to the opera's history "Prometheus Bound" by Panagiotis Karousos.
The participation of the students of the Sivitanidios Public School of Trades and Vocations was excellent.
An example of Prosody in Ancient Greek Language was presented by Anastasia Panayotopoulos, vocals accompanied by pianist Eleni Psarrou.

The reading of the second chorus (B’ Chorus of Oceanides) was done by the students, Dimitra Preka, Anastasia Panayotopoulou and Anna Maria Kristea.
The excerpts from the Second Episode of Prometheus Bound of Aeschylus were made by the students, Isabella Gioni, Haroula Gresi, and Styliani Vourgenti.

The pianist Dr. Georgia Markea, Music School Concelor played the introduction of the opera "Prometheus Bound" by composer Panagiotis Karousos, based on Aeschylus' tragedy.
Also in the attendees were the teachers of Sivitanidios Public School of Trades and Vocations, Konstantinos Papadopoulos and Anastasios Malfas, and student Spyridon Motsis, who contributed to the excellent technical support of the successful performance.
The applause and enthusiasm of the students was the best reward for the great artists that performed the opera and the organizers of the approved Program of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs of Greece.
