Wednesday March 13, 2024. The soprano Rhea Voudouri was awarded by Ioannis Maronitis, president of the UNESCO Piraeus & Islands of Greece for her performance of the song "The song of Melina" by the composer Panagiotis Karousos. The award was given in the context of the Women's Day celebration event 2024. The audience applauded her with emotion for the song dedicated to the great star of Greek cinema, Melina Merkouri. Mr. Ioannis Maronitis, president of the UNESCO of Piraeus & Islands awarded her an honorary plaque and praise for her contribution to art, and thank the composer Mr Panagiotis Karousos.
