The
Tuesday 21, September 2021, at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus – Courtyard, the
Club for UNESCO of Piraeus & Islands & INTERNATIONAL ACTION ART,
presented with a great success a concert with art songs of the internationally
renowned Greek-Canadian composer Panagiotis Karousos under the direction of
maestro Andreas Prionas.
Ioannis
Maronitis, President of the Club for UNESCO Piraeus & Islands and of the
INTERNATIONAL ACTION ART, welcome artists and guests “We are all one at music
concert” and made a speech about this big event participation to the festival "Days
of the Sea 2021" of the Municipality of Piraeus, presenting a Tribute to
the songs of the Mediterranean and liberty by Panagiotis Karousos.
Presentation and
recitation of poems was by TV actress Nicole Dalekou and Greek TV persona
Costas Venetsanos. A spectacular moment was the Dance Group of HAN Nikea under
the direction of choreographer Rena Vengou.
The excellent singers
were: Dimitris Kanellos, Erofili Tzanou, Valia Tsirgioti, Theodoros Birakos,
Tzo Antonakaki. Fine musicians were: Andreas Prionas (piano), Giannis Lambrakis
(bouzouki), Nikos Tsachtsiris (double bass), Andreas Niakaris (percussion). Musical
direction was by the renowned maestro Andreas Prionas. Artistic direction was
by the composer Panagiotis Karousos.
