The opera "Iliad" by Homer by Panagiotis Karousos in the High Schools of Greece

 

 Friday, February 3, 2023. The opera "Iliad" by Homer by Panagiotis Karousos was presented in an educational presentation with absolute success and enthusiasm, starring the lyrical artists, Irini Konstas, Olga Skekliou, Giorgos Housakos, Olga Skekliou, Rhea Voudouri, Yannis Darreios, Niki Zaharopoulou, Sofia Moutafi, Argyris Kontonikolau, the composer Panagiotis Karousos, and Harry Giann on the piano, at the Municipal Theater of Kallithea. The 10th Kallithea High School participated together. Greetings were given by: Tonia Antoniou, politician and Member of Parliament of PASOK - Movement for Change, Xenofon Lamprakis, president of the Hellenic-Eurasiatic Alliance, Vassiliki Margariti Deputy Mayor of Municipal Incomes – Equality and Family Planning of the Municipality of Kallithea, Protopapadakis Kon/nos, Principal of the 10th Gymnasium of Kallithea, Koutoula Sofia, Deputy Director. The students where narrated from Rhapsody A, Iliad by Homer. 

The opera was presented under the auspices of the Hellenic-Eurasiatic Alliance, and with the support of the Municipality of Kallithea.

The opera "Iliad" by Homer by Panagiotis Karousos is presented interactively in Schools as part of the educational program "NEW HOMERIDES" for students of D.E. of the country. The program is aimed at student groups of High Schools, General High Schools, Evening High Schools-High Schools and special schools from all over Greece with the aim of familiarizing young people with the art of lyrical singing and theater through their participation in an interactive opera performance.
