Victoria Khoroshunova-Diakaki will perform art songs by Panagiotis Karousos with the Corinth Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Glykeria Moraitaki at the Ancient Corinth

 

The amazing soprano Victoria Khoroshunova-Diakaki is coming to ancient Corinth with works by Panagiotis Karousos for the 200th anniversary of the liberation of Greece "1821 - 2021"

The great soprano Victoria Horosunova-Diakaki is coming to ancient Corinth for a concert for the liberation of Greece with works by renown composer Panagiotis Karousos with the Corinth Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Glykeria Moraitaki.

The concert will take place on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 9 p.m. in Ancient Corinth at the Open Theater (Xenia), free admission for the public.

The Maria Callas Award winning soprano Victoria Khoroshunova-Diakaki had a graduate of Athens Conservatory. She studied classical singing at the National Academy of Music in Odessa and is a graduate of the Opera Studio of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.

She has been awarded with the First Prize of the Aspect Foundation in London, and the 40th International Grand Prix Maria Callas - Opera (Honorary Award GRAND PRIX Maria Callas Competition 2017).

She has played the role of Santuzza in the opera Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni at the Mascagni Festival 2021 in Italy, and the role of Nedda in the opera Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo at the Teatro of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala di Milano. She has also sung the role of Fiordiligi in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera "Così fan tutte" at the Opera Studio of the National Opera of Greece. She has performed in concerts roles from the great opera repertoire, at the International Art Center and the Athenaeum Conservatory (Athenaeum) Violetta from Verdi’s La Traviata, in the Aegean International Festival at the Apollo Theater in Syros the opera Rusalka by Dvořák, Mimi in "La bohème" by Giacomo Puccini and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in the Piraeus Association Concert Hall (La Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart), in the Athens Conservatory (Tatyana to Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin). She has also given numerous recitals at the Athens Concert Hall, the Parliament building in Nafplio, in London at the halls of City Lit and Leighton House with works by Schumann and Tchaikovsky, and with the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens under the musical direction of Eleftherios Kalkanis in Gazi concert hall with an all Russian composers dedicated program.
