Friday, May 5, 2023. A luncheon was held at the Megali Bretagneia Hotel in honor of the composer Panagiotis Karousos, Candidate for Member of Parliament B2 of Athens of the PASOK-Change Movement, after the concert at Saint Sophia Orthodox Church, Neo Psychiko. The concert of Sacred Music Works by music composer Panagiotis Karousos and other religious music at I.N. of Agia Sophia in Neo Psychiko was delightfull and sublime melodies. This concert of Byzantine music parts from the Oratorio: "The Light of Christianity" by the composer Panagiotis Karousos under the Byzantine chorus under the direction of the remarkable conductor and chorusmaster Petros Daskalothanasis. Choir members: Argyris Kontonikolau, Papageorgiou Vassilis, Fourlanos Yiannis, Bardakas Vassilis, Vorias Tassos. The Reverend Protopresbyter Fr. George Christodoulou (Professor of Byzantine Music) performed "Christos Anestis" in three different performances. The concert of the music composer Panagiotis Karousos was co-organized and collaborated with the Panosiology Archimandrite Ioannikios Koulianopoulos, head of the Holy Church of Agia Sophia in Neo Psychikos and the pharmacist Ioannis Konstantinidis. Mrs. Pitsoli Angeliki represented Mr. Ioannis Maronitis, president of the Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands. The presentation was made by Chrysoula Tsigri, PhD in French literature. After the concert, a luncheon was served at the Hotel Grande Bretagne to honor the composer Panagiotis Karousos by pharmacist Ioannis Konstantinidis, Dr. Chrysoula Tsigris and businesswoman Evangelia Takounakis from Washington, USA.
