Byzantium for Beginners lecture by Billy Chrissochos

New York, Sunday, 11 November 2018. The Greek Literature Book Club presented its Inaugural first panel discussion “Byzantium for Beginners" at Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. 

Historian and musician Mr. Billy Chrissochos gave a lecture in the subject of “The Macedonian Renaissance of Byzantium’s Macedonian Dynasty.” 

The presentation featured a distinguished group of speakers, Rev. Fr. John Vlahos, Nektarios Antoniou, Vassilios Chrissochos, and Daniel Padovano. President of Club, Jeannie Kouros, was master of ceremonies.
Billy Chrissochos declared: "This is what inspired me to write the Rock Opera “Anna and Vladimir".
I wanted to thank the president and good friend Jeannie Kouros and to congratulate the other speakers, Father John Vlachos, Daniel Padovano and Nektarios S. Antoniou. I wanted to thank my wife Despina Chrissochos for cooking two delicious trays of Pastitsio and helping behind the scenes.
