A GREAT NIGHT FOR AUGUST FULL MOON AT THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF PIRAEUS

Piraeus, August 10. The Archaeological Museum of Piraeus courtyard attracted a Record crowd for the concert of Greek-Canadian opera composer Panagiotis Karoussos.
It was a solemn night in the moonlight, a concert celebration offered to the full-moon, beside the Ancient Theater of Zea with works by Bellini, Verdi, Dvorak, Donizetti and Karousos.
Main composer of the event was Panagiotis Karousos an internationally renowned Greek opera composer. The event was part of a hundreds concerts held at archaeological sites in Greece commemorating the August Full Moon.

The wonderful musical evening was dedicated to the full moon which threw light on the Ancient Theater of Zea and beautifully lit artists adding romanticism to the ritual of the evening.
Presented excerpts from the operas "Prometheus Bound" and "Trachiniae" (Olympic Flame) by Panagiotis Karousos, and arias from Bellini's Norma, Verdi's La Traviata, Dvorak’s Rousalka and Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love (L'elisir d'amore).
Archaeologist Kiki Psarakis of the Archaeological Museum of Piraeus thanked composer Panagiotis Karousos for his contribution to the Archaeological Museum of Piraeus with his works and welcomed audiences and artists on the archaeological site.
The composer Panagiotis Karousos presented the program and artists.
Greek opera Diva soprano Irene Konsta opened the concert with the famous aria Casta Diva from Bellini's Norma, who performed admirably.
Luscious tenor Anastasios Stellas gave Brindisi from La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, he was so good that composer request to repeat it for the pleasure of audiences.

Lyric soprano Maria Lyberakou impressed at the Oceanida’s aria from the opera "Prometheus Bound" by Panagiotis Karousos.
The exceptional performance highlighted arias from Panagiotis Karousos operas "Prometheus Bound" where the tenor Anastasios Stellas interpreted the arias of Ocean and
Hermes, and Trachiniae (Olympic Flame) where the soprano Irene Konsta interpreted majestically the three arias of Deianira.
Rania Zetta interpreted a transcription for viola and piano the magnificent aria of "Prometheus Bound". The excellent artists accompanied pianist Gulnora Tulyaganova.

The successful concert organized by the Hellenic American Center of the Arts and the ΚΣΤ΄ Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities of Greece.
