Sunday, June 22, 2025. The concert with works of poetry set to music by the composer Panagiotis Karousos was successfully held at the Concerto Café Artistic, in the neoclassical building of the National Conservatory in the center of Athens, as part of the celebration of European Music Day (World Music Day 2025). Participants: Maria Kokka (soprano), Rhea Voudouri (soprano), Giannis Darrios (tenor), Giannos Kotzias (tenor), Christiana Manou (piano), Panagiotis Karousos, (composer). Poems set to music by G. Ritsos, G. Vilaras, G. Vizyenos, K. Palamas, I. Polemis, G. Drosinis, M. Malakasis, Byron, Lamartine, Goethe, Shakespeare, etc. were performed. Also well-known favorite melodies from Greek operettas and musicals.
To promote cultural ties between the United States of America and Greece through Music and the Arts.
