On Thursday, May 7, 2026, the presentation of the opera "Prometheus Bound" by Panagiotis Karousos took place with great success at the Athens Concert Hall, by the Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands and the International Action Art Organization. The exceptional artists participated: Prometheus: Vassilis Dimitrakakis (bass), Io: Irini Konsta (soprano), Oceanid: Rhea Voudouri (soprano), Ocean-Hermes: Athanasios Lianos (tenor), Amphitrite/Coryphaea: Nadia Karagianni (singer/actress), Zeus: Kostas Venetsanos (actor), Hephaestus/Prometheus: Vassilis Vasiliou (actor), Violence/Goddess Athena: Varvara Kyritsi (actress), State/Hermes: Dimitris Protogerakis (actor), Hera: Marina Kourounioti (actress), Musical direction: Harry Giann (piano), Costumes from the wardrobe of the Greek Actors' Union (TASEI). Costume designer: Zacharias Rochas (actor and director). Artistic director: Panagiotis Karousos. The opera was presented by actress Jenny Kallergi, and a greeting was given by Eleni Kekropoulou, President of the Greek Society of Literary Translators (EEML), since the performance was dedicated to the World Day of the Greek Language. The artists were awarded by Mr. Ioannis Maronitis, President of the Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands and General President of the International Action Art Association. The performance was honored with their presence by the famous director Yannis Smaragdis, and the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Greece Omar Amer Youssef, where they congratulated the internationally renowned music composer Mr. Panagiotis Karousos and the artists and, together with the president of UNESCO Piraeus Mr. Maronitis, presented the artists with commemorative commendations. Due to the large attendance, the performance was moved to a larger hall of the Athens Concert Hall. The opera captivated the audience, who applauded the lyrical artists and the actors. It was an excellent evening of musical mysticism, speech and art.
