Successful concert of Panagiotis Karousos at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus

 
The Tuesday 21, September 2021, at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus – Courtyard, the Club for UNESCO of Piraeus & Islands & INTERNATIONAL ACTION ART, presented with a great success a concert with art songs of the internationally renowned Greek-Canadian composer Panagiotis Karousos under the direction of maestro Andreas Prionas.

Ioannis Maronitis, President of the Club for UNESCO Piraeus & Islands and of the INTERNATIONAL ACTION ART, welcome artists and guests “We are all one at music concert” and made a speech about this big event participation to the festival "Days of the Sea 2021" of the Municipality of Piraeus, presenting a Tribute to the songs of the Mediterranean and liberty by Panagiotis Karousos.

Presentation and recitation of poems was by TV actress Nicole Dalekou and Greek TV persona Costas Venetsanos. A spectacular moment was the Dance Group of HAN Nikea under the direction of choreographer Rena Vengou.

The excellent singers were: Dimitris Kanellos, Erofili Tzanou, Valia Tsirgioti, Theodoros Birakos, Tzo Antonakaki. Fine musicians were: Andreas Prionas (piano), Giannis Lambrakis (bouzouki), Nikos Tsachtsiris (double bass), Andreas Niakaris (percussion). Musical direction was by the renowned maestro Andreas Prionas. Artistic direction was by the composer Panagiotis Karousos.

Among attendees were, Dimitris Karydis, Deputy Mayor of Planning and Development of the Municipality of Piraeus, representatives of the Municipality of Piraeus, Lefteris Markakis of the "Polychoros Theater Avlaia", the Greek-Canadian Nuclear Physicist Costas Pappas, former Secretary General of the Nuclear Energy of Canada for the Province of Quebec, the Greek-Canadian journalist Zoi Iliopoulou, the baritone of the National Opera of Greece Mr. Petros Salatas, Mrs. Maria Tsianti of the Association of Philologists of Corinth, etc.
