Monday, October 13, 2025. Panagiotis Karousos Concert at the City Hall of Nikaia, municipality in the Piraeus regional unit, Attica, Greece. The Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands "building peace in the minds of people" in collaboration with the International Organization International ACTION ART and the Municipality of Nikaia - Agios Ioannis Rentis presented a successful concert by the internationally renowned composer Panagiotis Karousos in the event hall of the City Hall of Nice - Agios Ioannis Rentis. The event will be addressed by Mr. Ioannis Maronitis, President of the Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands and of the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Associations and Centers (WFUCA) for Europe and North America. The Musical Ensemble “Rhapsodes”, the famous actress Despina Moirou, actress-singer, Rhea Voudouri, soprano, Despina Tsolaki, soprano-actress, Nikos Vasilikos, tenor, Magdalini Tsekoura, piano, and Panagiotis Karousos, composer, participated. The exceptional artists performed the song “To Mikis Theodorakis”, a song dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the composer Mikis Theodorakis. The audience applauded the artists, the soprano Rhea Voudouri, and the famous actress Despina Moirou, and did not hide its enthusiasm and emotion. Program: Concert with new artistic and lyrical songs by Panagiotis Karoussos, with poems set to music by great poets: Parthenon (Kostís Palamas), Caryatides (Ioannis Polemis), Kore ton Athínon (Lord Byron), “Melina”, “Maria Callas of our hearts”, “The dance of Artemis”, “To Mikis Theodorakis”. This is the new compositional work of the Greek-Canadian music composer Panagiotis Karoussos.
