On Sunday, July 20, 2025, a great high-level concert by the internationally renowned composer Panagiotis Karoussos was held at the Archaeological Site of the Sanctuary of the Egyptian Gods in Nea Makri (Brexiza) with the cooperation of the Ephorate of Antiquities of East Attica.
The concert was held under the auspices of the Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands, the European and North American Federation of Clubs and Associations for UNESCO and International Action Art, where its president Mr. Ioannis Maronitis send a congratulation message, "Congratulations on your well-deserved success! Your hard work and dedication are truly inspiring"
Classical music works by P. Karousos in the form of an Ancient Orchesis were successfully presented, the hymn to love "Eros, invincible in battle", from Sophocles' Antigone, and excerpts from the epic opera "Homer's Iliad".
Members of the “Rhapsodes” Musical Ensemble participated, Maria Kokka (soprano), Rea Voudouri (soprano), Maria Kioroglou (coloratura soprano), Giannos Kotzias (tenor), Giannis Darios (tenor), Christiana Manou (piano), Panagiotis Karousos (composer). It was a wonderful musical concert, with exceptional artists, led by the leading singer of the National Opera, soprano Maria Kokka, in the role of Beautiful Helen. The soprano Rhea Voudouri performed a hymn dedicated to the goddess Artemis, “Dance of Artemis”. The choreographies of the Ancient Orchesis were edited by soprano Maria Kokka. The program of poetry set to music in texts from ancient Greek literature was presented by the internationally renowned music composer Panagiotis Karousos, analyzing his works.
