Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens, a concert by the internationally renowned music composer Panagiotis Karousos was presented with great success. Oratorio "Light of Christianity" by Panagiotis Karousos. Participating: Musical Ensemble "Rapsodies" and Lyric Soloists: Irene Konsta (soprano), Rhea Voudouri (soprano), Dimitris Alexandridis (tenor), Giannis Darrios (tenor), Nikos Vassilikos (tenor) Konstantinos Salis (tenor), Sofia Daraki (chorus), Maria Grigoriou (chorus), Niki Zacharopoulou (chorus), Christiana Manou (piano), Panagiotis Karousos (composer). The presentation was made by Konstantinos Salis, Writer and Songwriter, where he performed the song "Christmas" by Kostis Palamas and was applauded. A crowd of people enthusiastically applauded the lyrical artists. Rhea Voudouri performed the poem "Christmas of the Village" by Konstantinos Hatzopoulos, Irini Konsta performed QUO VADIS DOMINE? and "Axion Estin", Dimitris Alexandridis performed the aria "Let the discord disappear" (Achilleas Aria from the opera "Iliad" by Homer), Yannis Darrios performed the Psalm by Alexandros Papadiamantis, and Nikos Vassilikos performed "Ximeronan Chrysotsos" by Kostas Krystallis. Also performed, among other wonderful musical works by the composer Panagiotis Karousos, were the choral Hymns to Christ, “You have flown up into the heavens”, “When the Son of Man comes”, and Transcendence in poetry by Metropolitan of Peristeri, Mr. Gregory. After the excellent concert, a reception was held by the Italian Community under the auspices of the Italian Embassy in Athens, and the Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and the Islands. Private detective George Tsoukalis represented Mr. Ioannis Maronitis, president of the European Federation of Clubs and Associations for UNESCO.
