Concert of Religious Music of composer Panagiotis Karousos at Daphni Monastery

 Tuesday, May 27, 2025. A lyrical concert of Religious Music by the composer Panagiotis Karousos was held at the Daphni Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hymns were filmed/videotaped for the official website of the World Philosophical Forum. The members of the “Rhapsodoi” Musical Ensemble, Rhea Voudouri (soprano), and Yannos Kotzias (tenor), Christiana Manou (piano), Panagiotis Karousos (composer) participated. Excerpts from the Oratorio were presented: “The Light of Christianity” by Panagiotis Karousos, Hymn to Christ, You have risen to the heavens, Lord Jesus Christ.

The event was held with the full cooperation of the Holy Monastery of Daphni, the Monastery of Hosios Loukas and Nea Moni of Chios, and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Western Attica.
