The opera "Iliad" by Panagiotis Karousos at the Municipal Theater of Pefki

 

Sunday, January 26. The opera "Iliad" by Homer was successfully presented at the Municipal Theater of Pefki with an introductory seminar: "Prosody as a connecting link between opera and ancient Greek literature". Speaker: Panagiotis Karousos, composer (prosody analysis). The Mayor of Lykovrysa Pefki, Marios Psychalis, delivered a welcome address, congratulating the internationally renowned composer Panagiotis Karousos. The soprano of the National Opera of Greece Maria Kokka appeared radiant and sparkling as an honorary participant in the role of Beautiful Helen, who impressed with her stage presence and was applauded for her performance. The opera "Iliad" by the composer Panagiotis Karousos was crowned with a prolonged applause and many cheers from the audience. The Rhapsody Ensemble participated: Beautiful Helen: Maria Kokka (soprano), Andromache-Thetis: Rhea Voudouri (soprano), Vrisiida: Hlin Leifsdottir (soprano), Chrysiida: Nina Giatra (soprano), Paris: Panagiotis Diplaros: (baritone), Achilles - Hector: Giannos Kotzias (tenor), Maria Grigoriou (chorist).
