PANAGIOTIS KAROUSOS – CONCERT 2022 // Theater of Palaia Fokaia - Municipality of Saronikos

 

Thursday, September 8, 2022. The concert with poetry set to music by the music composer Panagiotis Karousos was successfully held by the Aristodikos Municipality of Saronikos under the auspices of the Club for UNESCO Piraeus & Islands and the support of the international organization International Action Art, at the Open Air Theater of Palaia Fokaia.

In the excellent concert of classical music, poems by Greek and foreign poets and choral works from the operas Prometheus Bound by Aeschylus and Iliad by Homer were performed. Participants: Rhea Voudouris, Panagiotis Diplaros, Kleopatra Eleftheriadou, Yiannis Darreios, Pantelis Laledakis, Georgia-Evangelia Kourbelis (piano), Panagiotis Karousos (composer).

Honorary participation by Nadia Karagianni with Andreas Prionas on the piano in the songs: The child in the river (Georgios Vizyinos), Tomorrow light (Alekos Panagoulis), Karyatides (Ioannis Polemis), Now you are missing (Telos Agras), In the night club (Napoleon Lapathiotis) ), Ballad of Escape (Dimitris Iatropoulos), How Much I Love You (Yiannis Velaras).

The concert was prefaced and presented by Petros Filippou, Mayor of Saronikos Attica, Ioannis Maronitis, President of the Club for UNESCO Piraeus & Islands, and Dimitra Rapti, President of the Board of Directors & President of Aristodikos Saronikos Municipality. Among the elite audience were the protagonist of the National Opera, mezzo-soprano Maria Marketou, the writer Maria Kakavoianni, etc. who praised and applauded the composer and the artists.
